Spectre Rail

A local payment rail.
Not another logo on a processor.

Merchants talk only to Spectre. We issue the invoice, run the state machine, post the settlement, and fire the webhook. Licensed partners move the money. We never hold customer funds.

Every dollar has a rail, a fee, a risk, and a loop. Mix them. Never pretend fees are zero.

1 · Invoice

POS, link, or API opens a ticket in USD. Customer pays ticket plus 3.5%. Store keeps the ticket.

2 · Confirm

USDC on Base by default. Three confirmations. Status is the ledger, not a spreadsheet.

3 · Settle

Merchant is credited in dollars. HMAC webhook. Chargebacks do not exist on this rail.

How money actually moves

  1. Customer pays crypto. Spectre checkout or a merchant API call creates the invoice. That record is the source of truth.
  2. Settlement partner clears it. NOWPayments or BitPay — already licensed — converts and lands USD in the store’s bank. If no partner key is attached yet, Spectre Rail still runs the full confirm → settle path so you can sell and train today.
  3. Ohio stays clean. We do not take custody. The processor transmits. Spectre is the rail API, the ledger, and the local operator.

Payment rails — crypto + cash/card

Twelve rails the store already lives with. Spectre operates stable and crypto. Card, bank, cash, and wallets stay theirs. The catalog exists so you can show the fee, the chargeback, and the wait — then move volume onto us.

PAYS loops

Red metrics start named loops — not meetings. Two of these auto-flag on Ops from live rail data.

Fee mix loop

Trigger: Store still 100% card after install

  1. Open the mix calculator on the rail page
  2. Move 10–20% of GPV onto USDC QR
  3. Re-score blended take vs 2.80% Visa

Exit: Merchant take drops, or ICP truly requires cards

CB fortress loop

Trigger: Owner is eating card chargebacks

  1. Do not sell Visa acquiring
  2. Offer Spectre + cash as the no-CB slice
  3. Leave their existing terminal in place

Exit: One weekly crypto ticket, or they stay card-only on purpose

Crypto adopt loop

Trigger: Live store · zero settled invoices

  1. Closer one-liner at the register
  2. QR tent card in the sightline
  3. Staff five-minute drill
  4. One demo ticket on Spectre Rail

Exit: First real settlement, or kill the install

Settlement integrity loop

Trigger: Invoice stuck open / pending or webhook fail

  1. Read the rail tape
  2. Advance or replay IPN
  3. Confirm processor key
  4. Do not mark the store live

Exit: Invoice settled or ticket voided
